Owen Marc Laurion

Owen Marc Laurion is an interdisciplinary artist currently living and working in Santa Fe, NM. He is
originally from New Hampshire and received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology and
Philosophy from the University of Rochester and his MFA in Sculpture from the San Francisco Art
Institute. In 2018, Owen co-lectured “Seeking Ethical Craft” at the National Council on Education for
the Ceramic Arts. He has exhibited work nationally and was an artist in residence at the Vermont
Studio Center, The North Carolina Pottery Center, and Starworks. He is the recipient of the Robert
Howe Fletcher Cup Award for Sculpture 2015, Rush Rhees Purchase Prize 2010, and was a Take
Five Scholar at the University of Rochester 2010-2011.
